Rahul has a versatile career spanning innovation, operations, marketing, and business development within both dynamic startups and multinational companies such as The Dow Chemical Company and Philips.

With a unique combination of entrepreneurial drive, strategic leadership, and operational expertise, Rahul excels in executing impactful marketing strategies. His top priority is expanding VORTA into new markets while fostering strong client relationships.

Rahul holds four granted/filed patents and has published papers in peer-reviewed journals. He completed his Master’s in Chemical Engineering at Twente University (The Netherlands) and his Bachelor’s at UDCT, India.

Swati graduated in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, India, and brings over 30 years of extensive experience across industry and academia.

She has worked in engineering, project management, and large-scale project implementation for both grassroots and expansion projects at the multinational engineering consultancy Aker Solutions. She also gained operational experience at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited.

Since 2015, she has served as Head of Operations for VORTA, playing a pivotal role in driving the successful fabrication and commercial-scale implementation of VORTA units globally.

Dr. Vivek Ranade is a distinguished chemical engineer and academician. He is currently a Bernal Chair of Process Engineering at Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, Ireland, and leads the ‘Multiphase Reactors and Process Intensification’ group.

His group develops fluidic devices, MAGIC (modular, agile, intensified and continuous) processes, and ‘factory in a box’ platforms via computational fluid dynamics and multiphase reactor engineering. He has published over 200 research papers and holds more than 20 patents.

Vivek is a recipient of the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award and a Fellow of IChemE UK, Indian National Academy of Sciences, and Indian Academy of Sciences. He co-founded Tridiagonal Solutions and VIVIRA Process Technologies and mentors the VORTA team to develop new applications for the technology platform.

Ranjeet Utikar is the Founder of VORTA. He is an academic at Curtin University, Australia where he leads the SMILE (Sustainable Manufacturing and InteLligent process Engineering) Lab, where his research focuses on process intensification, scale-up, multiphase flows, and sustainable energy.

With extensive experience across the chemical, oil & gas, and industrial biotechnology sectors, Ranjeet has worked with several multinationals on modelling, troubleshooting, and optimisation of industrial processes. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers and presented at more than 50 international conferences.

He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay, and has previously worked at CSIR-NCL, the University of Twente, and DSM Netherlands. He is a two-time winner of the Curtin Commercial Innovation Award (2017, 2019) and overall winner of Imagine Chemistry by AkzoNobel (2018).
