Vivek Ranade
Dr. Vivek Ranade is a distinguished chemical engineer and academician from India. He is currently a Bernal Chair of Process Engineering at Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, Ireland and leads ‘Multiphase Reactors and Process Intensification’ group. The group is developing fluidic devices, MAGIC (modular, agile, intensified and continuous) processes and ‘factory in a box’ platforms via computational fluid dynamics, multiphase reactor engineering, and process intensification. He has published over 200 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, more than 20 patents (granted/ filed) and has authored several books in the field of chemical engineering. He is a recipient of numerous awards including Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award (highest Indian Scientific award for scientists under 45 years in India) and Swarnajayanti Fellowship of Department of Science and Technology, India. He is a fellow of IChemE UK, Indian National Academy Sciences, Indian National Academy of Engineering and Indian Academy of Sciences. Vivek has co-founded two technology companies: Tridiagonal Solutions (www.tridiagonal.com) and VIVIRA Process Technologies. He is mentoring VORTA team and developing new applications of VORTA technology platform.

Rahul has a track of versatile career roles in innovation, operations, marketing and business development within successful startups and multinationals such as The Dow Chemical Company and Philips. Rahul possesses a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, strategic leadership, and operational excellence and is passionate about executing strategic marketing. Tapping into different markets of VORTA whilst cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships leading to repeat business and referrals is Rahul’s utmost priority. Rahul has four granted/filed patents and four research papers in peer reviewed journals and has completed his masters in chemical Engineering from Twente University, The Netherlands and his bachelors in chemical engineering from University Department of Chemical Technology, India.
