We all are Chemical Engineers! We all work from three different continents and four different countries!! We care a lot more about getting it done, and the relationships we build!!!

Vivek Ranade

Dr. Vivek Ranade is a distinguished chemical engineer and academician from India. He is currently a Bernal Chair of Process Engineering at Bernal Institute, University of Limerick, Ireland and leads ‘Multiphase Reactors and Process Intensification’ group. The group is developing fluidic devices, MAGIC (modular, agile, intensified and continuous) processes and ‘factory in a box’ platforms via computational fluid dynamics, multiphase reactor engineering, and process intensification. He has published over 200 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, more than 20 patents (granted/ filed) and has authored several books in the field of chemical engineering. He is a recipient of numerous awards including Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar award (highest Indian Scientific award for scientists under 45 years in India) and Swarnajayanti Fellowship of Department of Science and Technology, India. He is a fellow of IChemE UK, Indian National Academy Sciences, Indian National Academy of Engineering and Indian Academy of Sciences. Vivek has co-founded two technology companies: Tridiagonal Solutions (www.tridiagonal.com) and VIVIRA Process Technologies. He is mentoring VORTA team and developing new applications of VORTA technology platform.

Ranjeet Utikar

Dr. Ranjeet Utikar is an accomplished chemical engineer and academician from Australia. He is currently a faculty member at Curtin University. Ranjeet has published over 100 research papers in peer-reviewed journals and has authored several book chapters and conference proceedings. He has also supervised several PhD students and postdoctoral fellows in his research group. Before joining Curtin, Ranjeet worked in the industry for over 10 years. Together with Vivek, Ranjeet also co-founded Tridiagonal solutions in year 2006 and contributed to its growth phase across different industry verticals and various regions. Ranjeet envisions a great future for VORTA in realizing untapped applications in the different industrial verticals involving process streams and waste streams.

Swati Ranade

Swati has graduated as chemical engineer from Jadavpur University in India. She has around 30+ years of rich experience covering industry and academics. Swati worked in the field of engineering, project management and implementation of large grass-root as well as expansion projects while working in a multinational detail engineering consultancy company, Aker Solutions. She also has an operational work experience at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, an oil refinery in India. Since 2015 Swati is currently holding the position as the head of India operations for VORTA’s successful penetration and has been very instrumental in realizing the successful fabrication and sales of VORTA units at a commercial scale.

Rahul Dahule

Rahul has a track of versatile career roles in innovation, operations, marketing and business development within successful startups and multinationals such as The Dow Chemical Company and Philips. Rahul possesses a unique blend of entrepreneurial spirit, strategic leadership, and operational excellence and is passionate about executing strategic marketing. Tapping into different markets of VORTA whilst cultivating and maintaining strong client relationships leading to repeat business and referrals is Rahul’s utmost priority. Rahul has four granted/filed patents and four research papers in peer reviewed journals and has completed his masters in chemical Engineering from Twente University, The Netherlands and his bachelors in chemical engineering from University Department of Chemical Technology, India.
